How can Shimano allow a company like 4iii to put in a part that falls apart in 3 months??? It simply stopped working and cost a small fortune... I hope you send about 10 replacement parts, because as soon as I install it, it will probably break again... a complete piece of junk.

I bought my power meter in June 2025 and installed it in August 2025. The battery housing and cover have completely fallen apart now in January 2026. The cover showed a small crack in November, but it didn’t seem to be a big problem at the time. Now, however, it has completely fallen apart.

Like all the other comments on this review, battery housing not fit for purpose. Not just the cover broken the whole unit is breaking up.

As with nearly every other review on here the battery cover on the drive side power meter is shockingly poor quality! 😡
£15 for a replacement …daylight robbery!!

I have a 2024 SL8 I’ve bearly ridden, I keep the bike indoors and I wax my chains so no harsh chemicals. So can someone tell me why my power meter is disintegrating?

It’s a matter of time before the PM totally fails. I’d give a zero rating if I could.
