How does it work?

The PRECISION 3+ Powermeter is so much more than a power meter. It’s your training partner that offers peace of mind. While you are riding, your PRECISION 3+ Powermeter will transmit watts, cadence, and calories to your head unit of choice. While the power meter is not in use, Find My is enabled and allows you to see its location on a map. You can add your power meter to the Find My app and locate it on an iPhone, iPad, Mac or using the Find Items app on an Apple Watch.

In the Box

Once your ride-ready PRECISION 3+ Powermeter arrives, it just needs to be installed on your bike using the standard Shimano crank installation process. Connect a head unit or computer, and you can start riding with power. Connect to the Find My app with your iPhone or iPad to start tracking your power meter.

Great pwoermeter

The powermeter works as expected and fits perfectly in my bike

Great meter, destroyed by battery cap/Reece's Law

The meter is great value and very useful, until you need to change the battery. Understandably the meters sit in someone's inventory and the coin battery discharges, so you try and change the battery, as the 4iiii app says battery 38% etc. The 4iiii app is useful.

The issue is a very fiddly cradle in which the battery fits within the plastic cap. It is so easy to damage this that you're better taking the crank off the bike and fitting it at your desk with extra lighting tweezers etc. Even then it creates connectivity issues. This is nuts! Changing a battery should be easy and not cause all sorts of operational issues. Really looking forward to 4iiii finding a workaround Reece's Law and hoping they upgrade all of us with their new battery cap design.

Finally, I cannot go without cursing Reece's Law where costs must greatly exceed benefits. If coin batteries are so bad, get rid of them, kids stick stuff in their mouths, in the 4iiii instance they'll swallow the cap too! Lawmakers! What good is this doing anyone?

¿Cómo conectar el medidor con el "Find my"

Quisiera saber cómo conectar el medidor con la aplicación Find my de apple, no es muy claro el proceso, ya que a pesar de que el celular está conectado con el medidor en la app find my no se logra ver la ubicación.

The battery cap is a fail

The first cap I had, like so many others peoples, fell off. For $30 I was able to replace the $1 part and continue using the power meter. After a few more months, the power meter stopped working. After some investigation I found that the cap to battery circuitry was not working. I reached out to 4iiii and was told I'd need to send in the entire crank to them. Not wanting to be without my bike for weeks, I messed around with the cap again. It still didn't work. I reached out numerous times again to 4iiii support and they would not respond. Was their lack of response due to the fact that my warranty expires in a few days? I finally spent another $30 and again, replaced the $1 cap. The power meter is working again, but for how long? I guarantee I will make sure that all 200 kids I help coach in MTB and everyone I ride with on my team and other events, will know to avoid 4iiii. It's too bad, because when it's working, it is a great set-up
