Precision Maintenance Kit

I purchased the single-sided power meter. Not only does it provide power and cadence but additionally encompasses the “Find My” feature if you have an Apple product. No Airtag needed, it’s built into the power meter. The only downside are the child proof clips and in order to setup the “Find My” feature, you have to remove the battery three times and those clips are brutal! I understand a new design is on the way from 4iiii.

The first cap I had, like so many others peoples, fell off. For $30 I was able to replace the $1 part and continue using the power meter. After a few more months, the power meter stopped working. After some investigation I found that the cap to battery circuitry was not working. I reached out to 4iiii and was told I'd need to send in the entire crank to them. Not wanting to be without my bike for weeks, I messed around with the cap again. It still didn't work. I reached out numerous times again to 4iiii support and they would not respond. Was their lack of response due to the fact that my warranty expires in a few days? I finally spent another $30 and again, replaced the $1 cap. The power meter is working again, but for how long? I guarantee I will make sure that all 200 kids I help coach in MTB and everyone I ride with on my team and other events, will know to avoid 4iiii. It's too bad, because when it's working, it is a great set-up.

It just popped off unnoticed by me one day. I’m glad they sell that part. I now put a piece of tape over the cover so I hopefully won’t loose another one.

cap fell off while riding after about a month. 15 bucks for a little piece of plastic and then 15 bucks to ship a 5g part? Cmon guys

ok, I don’t like to be negative but you asked me three times for a review so here you go. $15 for a battery cover and $15 to ship seems expensive but I had no choice. Read the reviews, it appears a lot of people have lost the cover. Perhaps 4iiii can figure out how to design so it stays on better.
